Senior Contracts Manager - Fire Doors

FPC (NW) Ltd is looking for a highly organised Passive Fire Protection Senior Contracts Manager who will be responsible for ensuring safe and compliant contract delivery from the beginning of the contract through to completion and handover. The ideal candidate will possess strong site leadership skills, technical knowledge of fire doors, be FIRAS compliant and demonstrate client management skills and financial control.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Leading multiple live fire door remediation, maintenance and/or specialist joinery contracts from award to handover and final account.
• Managing labour planning, site operation, supervisors, direct labour, subcontractors (where applicable), quality, productivity and programme adherence.
• Maintaining fire door compliance records, quality assurance, before-and-after photographic evidence, certification and handover records to a suitable FIRAS standard.
• Ensuring health and safety standards are controlled through RAMS, audits, toolbox talks, inspections and corrective actions.
• Controlling contract budgets, materials, procurement, labour and subcontractor costs, variations, applications, invoices and margin performance.
• Cultivating client relationships, including providing progress updates and framework expectations, attending commercial meetings, addressing site constraints and resolving issues.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience in managing construction, passive fire protection, fire door or specialist joinery contracts (five years’ minimum required).
• Possess a strong technical knowledge of joinery-led works, including fire door installation, remediation and maintenance.
• Demonstrate a proven ability to manage site teams, supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, direct labour and multiple ongoing projects.
• Be commercially disciplined, with experience in applications, cost forecasting, variations, invoice reviewing, costing wages and protecting margins.
• Be confident with reviewing drawings, surveys, programmes, specifications, surveys, schedules of rates and project evidence.
• Be a professional communicator who can confidently represent the business with clients, consultants, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Hold strong Microsoft Office / Excel tracker skills (essential).
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Hold a CSCS Manager Card or equivalent.
• Hold SMSTS qualification.
• Have FIRAS supervisor (or equivalent) experience.
• Have FDIS or equivalent (desirable).
• Have IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).
• Have Asbestos Awareness / First Aid training (desirable).

Pay: £32,100.00-£62,600.00 per year
