Senior Controls Engineer

The ideal Senior Controls / Automation Engineer candidate will be local to the DMV, will support hyper growth, and isn't a traditional software developer. They're writing software that controls physical laboratory/manufacturing equipment , with PLCs, robots, motors, sensors, machine vision, etc.

Responsibilities

• Write software controlling manufacturing/R&D equipment, industrial robots, motors, controllers, sensors, PLCs, C#/C++/Java, and hardware/software integration.
• Responsible for the design and programming of high-performance automation systems
• The position works closely with cross-functional teams—including R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to support new product development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related science or engineering discipline preferred
• A minimum of three years of experience in automation equipment software design preferred
• Prior experience with industrial robots, motors, controllers, and/or digital and analog sensors is preferred
• 3-7 Years of OOP (C#, Java, C++, etc) or 3 Years of PLC Programming
