SENIOR CORE BANKING PROGRAM / PROJECT MANAGER - Onsite

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Core Banking Program/Project Manager to lead large-scale banking transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will have strong end-to-end project delivery experience, particularly in Core Banking implementations, and the ability to manage complex, multi-vendor and multi-country environments. This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership role requiring strong expertise in project governance, financial management, resource planning, stakeholder management, and banking transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of large-scale Core Banking implementation programs, from pre-study through implementation and go-live.
• Manage the complete Pre-Study → Estimate/Approval → Implementation lifecycle.
• Lead project planning, execution, governance, risk management, and delivery assurance.
• Manage multi-vendor, multi-country, onshore/offshore, and distributed teams.
• Oversee project financials, resource allocation, effort tracking, and budget management.
• Work closely with banking SMEs across Trade Finance, Lending, CASA, and Payments.
• Review and challenge project estimates, timelines, resource requirements, and delivery assumptions.
• Coordinate with technology and platform teams supporting core banking and adjacent systems.
• Manage senior stakeholders and conduct governance meetings with banking executives.
• Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.

About you

• 15+ years of overall Project/Program Management experience.
• Proven experience owning the delivery of at least one large-scale Core Banking implementation end-to-end.
• Strong experience managing Pre-Study, Estimation/Approval, Implementation, and Go-Live phases.
• Banking or financial services industry experience is required.
• Working knowledge of Trade Finance, Lending, CASA, and Payments.
• Ability to work effectively with SMEs and challenge project estimates and assumptions.
• Proven experience managing multi-vendor and multi-country/distributed delivery teams.
• Strong expertise in project financial management, resource planning, effort tracking, person-month estimation, risk and issue management, and project governance.
• Experience with core banking or related platforms such as Oracle FLEXCUBE, ACBS, Trade 360, Murex, or Finatra GPP.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
