Senior Core Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Core Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on advancing foundational engine systems that power highly interactive software experiences across constrained and networked environments.

You will own critical low-level and high-level interfaces, with an emphasis on performance, modularity, and reliability across multiple subsystems.

The position requires close collaboration with engineering partners to deliver efficient timing, resource management, and asset synchronization capabilities.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,800 – $258,600 annually

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve key subsystems across the engine stack, including low-level C++ and high-level C# APIs.
• Design and implement high-performance APIs for embedded and networked configurations.
• Manage execution timing and resource competition in constrained environments.
• Orchestrate loading and synchronization of assets over networks with minimal overhead.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in game engine development or middleware systems.
• Strong expertise in C++ and C#.
• Experience designing modular and testable architectural systems.
• Hands-on knowledge across multiple domains in game engines, such as physics and animation.
• Understanding of performance optimization, including CPU caches and memory layout.
