Role Overview Aeven is looking for an experienced Senior Core Network Infrastructure Operations Specialist to join our Core Network team.

We are looking for a senior, hands-on network specialist operating complex Cisco-based environments. You will work with business-critical core, WAN and data center networks where availability, stability and operational quality are essential.

Today, our environment is primarily based on traditional network operations. At the same time, we are evolving toward more standardized and automated network services, giving you the opportunity to combine deep networking expertise with modern ways of operating infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities You will take a senior technical role in operating and developing our network infrastructure, including:

• Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting complex core, WAN and data center networks.
• Handling incidents, problems, production changes, upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Leading technical troubleshooting during major incidents and complex network issues.
• Performing root cause analysis and driving improvements that prevent recurring problems.
• Supporting capacity, availability, performance and lifecycle management.
• Working with architects and engineering teams on designs, standards and platform improvements.
• Maintaining high-quality technical documentation and operational standards.
• Sharing knowledge and providing technical guidance to colleagues.
• Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational consistency.

Your Qualifications And Experience

• You have strong hands-on network operations experience, ideally from a large enterprise, managed service provider or service-provider environment.
• You are comfortable taking ownership of complex routing and connectivity problems and working with critical production infrastructure where changes must be carefully planned and executed.
• You understand operational disciplines such as Incident, Problem and Change Management, major incident handling, root cause analysis and network lifecycle management.
• Most importantly, you are a strong network specialist who enjoys solving difficult technical problems and improving how infrastructure is operated.
• Strong Cisco networking expertise is the foundation of the role. However, we are increasingly introducing automation, APIs and Infrastructure-as-Code principles into network operations.
• You do not need to be a software developer. Experience with, or an interest in, technologies such as Ansible, Python, REST APIs, Git, Terraform and CI/CD is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who wants to help us evolve from primarily manual network operations toward services that are increasingly standardized, repeatable and automated.
