Are you an experienced Cost Consultant looking for your next career move within a growing construction consultancy?

We’re working with a consultancy looking to strengthen its Cost Management team and are keen to speak with commercially minded professionals who enjoy building strong client relationships, delivering projects across the full lifecycle and supporting the development of junior team members.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Cost Consultant, you’ll play a key role in delivering cost management services across a diverse range of construction projects, working closely with clients and project teams to ensure successful commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and representing the business at client meetings.
• Support business growth through existing relationships and new business opportunities.
• Deliver cost management services throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility estimates through to final account settlement.
• Provide commercial advice and cost management expertise to clients.
• Manage change control and ensure projects remain within agreed budgets.
• Prepare accurate cost reports, forecasts and financial updates in line with client reporting requirements.
• Undertake valuations of construction work and manage the agreement of final accounts.
• Support, mentor and delegate work to graduates and junior team members.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant discipline.
• MRICS qualified or working towards
• A minimum of four years’ relevant industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry and cost management processes.
• Competent user of Microsoft Excel, the wider MS Office suite and CAD Measure.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to support and develop junior colleagues.
• A proactive, self-motivated and flexible attitude.
