Senior Cost Controller

Fluor is supporting one of Western Australia’s most significant lithium developments, leveraging its global expertise in project delivery, construction management, and operational readiness to help advance a world-class battery minerals project. With the project progressing from construction into production and expansion planning, Fluor continues to play a key role in delivering infrastructure that supports the growing global demand for critical minerals and the energy transition.

We are currently seeking Senior Cost Controllers to join our dynamic project team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major EPCM project.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain project cost control systems and interfaces with financial systems, including SAP.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, commitments, accruals, and cash flows.
• Support the development and maintenance of approved project cost baselines.
• Ensure accurate application and maintenance of WBS structures, cost codes, and reporting frameworks.
• Prepare and analyse cost reports, forecasts, trends, and variance analysis.
• Monitor project performance against budget and identify cost risks and opportunities.
• Support change management processes through assessment of cost impacts and exposure analysis.
• Manage post-award cost control activities for contracts and work packages.
• Review contractor invoices and validate costs against scope, contracts, and supporting documentation.
• Work closely with planning teams to support integrated cost and schedule reporting.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in Cost Control, Project Controls, Project Accounting, or a similar role.
• Experience within mining, resources, construction, engineering, infrastructure, or major projects environments.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, accruals, commitments, and cash flow management.
• Experience using SAP and project cost management systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience using Power BI and other reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret and analyse financial and project performance data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
