Senior Credit Controller - Delegated Authority

We are partnering with a well-respected Lloyd's insurer seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to take ownership of a significant Delegated Authority portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong understanding of binders, bordereaux and premium settlement processes who enjoys working closely with brokers, coverholders and underwriting teams.

Rather than a traditional credit control position, this role combines portfolio management, stakeholder engagement, data analysis and problem-solving to ensure the effective management of premium collections across a complex Delegated Authority book.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a substantial Delegated Authority portfolio.
• Utilise Power BI dashboards and analytics to identify premium variances and emerging trends.
• Review and reconcile written and paid premium bordereaux.
• Oversee timely settlement activity and FDO signings across key accounts.
• Develop strong working relationships with Lloyd's brokers and coverholders to facilitate prompt premium collection.
• Work closely with underwriting teams to resolve complex account issues and implement action plans.
• Review policy and binding authority documentation where required.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives, reporting enhancements and technology adoption.

About You

• Lloyd's market experience with a strong understanding of Delegated Authority business.
• Solid knowledge of the premium settlement lifecycle, binder arrangements and bordereaux reporting.
• Familiarity with the Insurers' Market Repository (IMR).
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Lookups and data analysis.
• Experience using Power BI or similar dashboard reporting tools.
• Confident engaging with brokers, underwriters and other senior stakeholders.
• Able to work autonomously and take ownership of a specialist portfolio.
