TA key hire for our Credit Risk team, you will report to the Regional Head of Credit Risk and take ownership of how we read our loan portfolio — from vintage performance and borrower/industry concentration to early-warning trends. This goes beyond running the numbers: you'll be expected to exercise judgment on what's genuinely significant and make clear, actionable recommendations that the credit risk team and senior stakeholders can act on.
What you will do:
Portfolio Analytics
- NPL and delinquency trend analysis (such as DPD bucket flow rates and migration, vintage analysis) to track credit quality
- Recovery and write-off performance tracking, including legacy vs. current book splits
- Portfolio concentration analysis by borrower, industry, product, and country exposures
- ECL/provisioning coverage analysis and explaining what's driving month-on-month movement
- Monthly monitoring of key portfolio risk metrics against Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) thresholds, including root-cause analysis of breaches and recommendations for improvement
- Applying trend/statistical checks to flag unusual movements early (vs. normal noise)
- Maintaining data accuracy and reconciliation across source systems and country teams
- Explaining the “why” behind portfolio movements, not just reporting the numbers
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Responding to ad hoc data requests from country teams or finance
- Working with country credit teams to validate local data and portfolio context
- Collaborating with the data science/analytics team on scorecards or risk models
- Liaising with collections/recovery teams on NPL resolution status
- Supporting fraud-adjacent credit risk flags where cases sit at the fraud/credit boundary
Process & Governance
- Preparing monthly/quarterly credit risk packs and dashboards
- Helping maintain documentation for the credit risk monitoring framework and methodology
- Preparing materials for Board Risk Committee (BRC) and senior management reviews
Requirements
What we are looking for:
- Have a Bachelor's Degree or above in Statistics/Finance/Economics/Engineering/Analytics or similar from a University
- At least 6-8 years of experience in credit risk analytics
- Familiar with local regulations and data landscape in the ASEAN region
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables and building vintage/cohort analyses
- Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to work with large amounts of data; working knowledge of Python is an advantage
- Comfortable using AI-assisted tools to support analysis, reporting, and productivity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities
