You will also share technical expertise and support the development of fellow technicians.

CO+I is the organisation behind Microsoft’s cloud services, including Azure, Office 365, Bing, Xbox, and OneDrive. Microsoft operates more than 200 datacentres across 32 countries, supporting over 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses worldwide. Sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence are at the heart of our continued growth and success.

Our mission is to empower every person and organisation on the planet to achieve more. Guided by our values of respect, integrity, and accountability, we foster an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive.

Use Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage assets, maintenance activities, and work orders.

Lead or support onsite incident response activities and coordinate corrective actions to restore operations safely and efficiently.

Follow, develop, and enhance Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), Methods of Procedure (MOPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Perform planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical facility equipment.

Troubleshoot complex equipment, systems, subsystems, and components within your area of expertise.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced technicians.

Maintain compliance with safety, security, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), and operational standards.

Promote a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Embody Microsoft’s culture and values in all aspects of work.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, with significant experience in mission-critical environments such as datacentres, manufacturing facilities, healthcare organisations, pharmaceutical facilities, energy infrastructure, or similar operational settings; or equivalent practical experience.

Security Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including:

Successful completion of the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.

Experience supporting high-availability environments and complex facility systems.

This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the world’s most advanced cloud infrastructure while expanding your technical expertise, developing leadership capabilities, and building a long-term career within Microsoft’s global Cloud Operations & Innovation organisation.
