Senior Cyber Security Engineer

IDR is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join one of our top clients for an exciting opportunity in Suwanee, Georgia. This role involves supporting enterprise security operations, focusing on endpoint detection, patch management, and incident response within a technology-driven organization dedicated to safeguarding digital infrastructure and data integrity.

Position Overview for the Senior Cyber Security Engineer :

• Responsible for managing and optimizing endpoint detection and response operations using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement, configure, and maintain security policies and tools across diverse environments.
• Actively identify and remediate vulnerabilities and security gaps, ensuring continuous protection.
• Support incident response activities, including ticket triage, containment, and documenting security events.
• Work closely with local technical support teams to troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues with minimal operational disruption.

Requirements for the Senior Cyber Security Engineer :

• Deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint at scale.
• Strong Tanium experience, including patching, asset discovery, hygiene, and agent remediation.
• Proven ability to work across Windows, with some exposure to Linux or AIX environments preferred.
• Prior experience in managing endpoint security policies and deploying security updates.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to support cross-functional security initiatives.
