Senior Cyber Security Microsoft Ecosystem Engineer - Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Microsoft Ecosystem Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will focus on strengthening security across Microsoft-based environments, with an emphasis on protecting data, improving detection and response capabilities, and supporting identity-driven access controls. The successful candidate will partner with compliance and technical stakeholders to evaluate risk, implement controls, and advance a modern security posture. This is a highly technical opportunity for someone who can combine deep Microsoft security expertise with strong documentation and communication skills.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $126,152 – $198,161 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across Microsoft 365 and related environments
• Recommend security policies using Microsoft Entra ID and the Defender suite
• Evaluate existing security architectures and suggest improvements
• Implement and enforce data protection across the M365 ecosystem
• Monitor security logs for incident response and forensic analysis
• Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence
• Develop documentation and reports for project tracking and trend analysis

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity focused on Microsoft technologies and licensing
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features, Purview, DSPM, Azure, Intune, and the Defender suite
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and identity-based access controls
• Strong understanding of data security, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
