Senior Data Analyst [100% WFH graveyard]

Overview

The Senior Compliance Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting, validating, and preparing data for regulatory reporting within required timeframes and according to defined specifications. This role oversees the end-to-end preparation of all data calls and insurance product–related reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting objectives and specifications.
• Develop, maintain, and standardize clear, accurate reports and templates.
• Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to support reporting needs.
• Ensure reports reflect correct business logic through coordination with subject-matter experts.
• Independently compile reports using strong research, judgment, and analytical skills.
• Improve compliance and regulatory reporting by implementing process enhancements and automation.
• Review and quality-check all reports for accuracy, clarity, and compliance.
• Deliver timely, well-organized responses to ad-hoc reporting requests.

Requirements

• The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in business  or accounting, business intelligence, data science, or finance, or similar, from a four year college or university, or equivalent business experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in a technical position in a report development
• Insurance experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, using SQL (mandatory) and XML (nice to have)
• Hands-on experience with stored SQL procedures and report automation.
• Experience with large (>100,000 row) datasets or datasets of mixed quality is preferred
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, demonstrating both strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and logic skills
• Ability to multitask and work in an environment imposed by strict reporting deadlines

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in the P&C insurance industry
• Familiarity with Airbase and GAAPIFY Platforms
• Knowledge of intercompany financial processes and chargebacks
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills
