Senior Data Analyst

About the role

Data analyst helps the BI managers to pull, process and provide insights to answer business team’s questions, helping them to make decisions. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, but at the same time requires soft skills to be able to communicate well as he/she sits in between technical / non technical teams, and task management (ability to decide / come up with strategy in answering queries).

Key responsibilities

• Combine business analytics, data mining, and data visualizations to help organizations make more data-driven decisions.
• Interpret data, patterns, and trends and turn them into actionable insights to improve the business.
• Provide routine and ad hoc reports, ensuring insights are not only descriptive but also predictive and prescriptive where applicable.
• Translate routine data inquiries into automated, efficient reporting solutions to support operations and streamline decision-making.
• Utilize modeling techniques to build forecasting models, trend analyses, and scenario simulations, enhancing the depth of data-driven insights.
• Work with large-scale datasets to conduct exploratory and advanced data analysis, ensuring data integrity and uncovering new opportunities for optimization.

Requirement :

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in retail or retail enabler industries
• Proficient in programming language for data processing, such as Python or R, and SQL scripting is a must
• Hands-on experience working with large-scale datasets, conducting exploratory and advanced data analysis while ensuring data integrity
• Experience in business analytics, data mining, data modeling, and data visualization
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, and proactive environment
• Willing to explore and apply modeling techniques, including forecasting models, trend analysis, and scenario simulations
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal
