Senior Data Analyst

Cake – a leading Vietnamese digital bank with over 6 million users – is building the NextGen AI Bank, where data and AI are at the core of every product and decision.

We are looking for a Supervisor/ Senior Data Analyst who can turn complex data into clear insights, actionable recommendations, and measurable business impact. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and data storytelling skills , while being comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across both technical and non-technical teams.

What You Will Do

Business Analysis & Insight

• Analyze datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities
• Translate business questions into data-driven analysis
• Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with various teams such as business, marketing, finance, operations, tech, customer service, data engineering, etc.
• Understand business context and propose data-supported insights and strategies
• Present findings through clear storytelling, visualization, and structured communication

Data Exploration & Reporting

• Explore different types of data (transaction, product usage, marketing, operations, customer behavior, etc.) to identify insights and opportunities
• Build dashboards, reports, or analytical outputs to support decision-making

Data Analysis & Tooling

• Use analytical tools and data platforms to extract, analyze, and visualize data
• Maintain analytical workflows using tools such as SQL or BI tools

What We’re Looking For (Must-Have)

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience working as a data analyst, business analyst, or similar role, ideally in a fast-moving digital or fintech environment
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
• Experience with BI/visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
• Demonstrated ability to translate data into business recommendations that influenced real decisions
• Strong communication skills — able to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities
• Experience with statistical analysis and a solid grasp of experimentation/A-B testing fundamentals
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and campaign performance metrics, or hands-on experience in digital marketing, growth analytics, or marketing analytics.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Python or R for deeper statistical analysis
• Familiarity with the banking or financial services industry
• Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g. dbt, Airflow)
