Senior Data Analyst

Role Purpose

Lead FEU's enterprise analytics capability, translating institutional priorities and business questions into meaningful KPIs, dashboards, analyses and insights. The Manager is a hands-on capability lead and senior business translator who owns analytics solution quality, stakeholder partnership and standards. The role provides functional and technical leadership to the Analytics group under DGA office.

Key Accountabilities

• Analytics Leadership : Lead requirements discovery, analytical solution design and prioritization for enterprise dashboards, scorecards and analyses.
• Business Partnership: Work directly with senior academic and corporate leaders to clarify decisions, questions, KPIs and value; challenge unclear requirements constructively.
• Insight & Analysis: Lead complex descriptive, diagnostic and exploratory analyses; identify trends, risks, opportunities and actionable implications.
• BI & Visualization: Set Power BI, semantic model, DAX, visualization and dashboard design standards; review outputs for accuracy, usability and performance.
• Governance Alignment: Partner with the Head and Data Owners/Stewards to standardize KPI definitions and ensure consistent application across analytical products.
• Functional & Delivery Leadership: Coordinate analytics work with the Head, review solutions, provide analytical guidance, coaching and knowledge sharing to the Data Analyst, support stakeholder acceptance, and remain hands-on for high-priority/complex work. Formal workload allocation, goal setting and performance management remain with the Head.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• 6+ years relevant analytics/BI experience with demonstrated stakeholder and team/workstream leadership; FEU HR may calibrate level based on market and internal grading.
• Strong SQL, advanced Microsoft Power BI, DAX, Power Query and analytical/data modeling capability.
• Strong data visualization, storytelling, requirements translation and executive communication skills.
• Strong quantitative/analytical foundation; Python/R/statistical analysis desirable.
• Experience with enterprise KPI/performance management and multi-domain analytics advantageous.

Role Scope & Independence

• Manager-level capability leader and hands-on individual contributor.
• All DGA positions report administratively to the Head; this role exercises functional leadership rather than line-management authority.
• Accountable for the quality and outcomes of the capability/workstream, not only personal output.
• Expected to make decisions independently within approved enterprise strategy, governance and technology boundaries, and to escalate material cross-enterprise decisions to the Head.
