Senior Data Analyst (Risk & Market Analytics)

You will work closely with senior leadership to assess the risks behind new campaigns, business decisions, and strategic initiatives — identifying factors that could drive costs up or impact outcomes — and translate that analysis into clear, client-facing dashboards and presentations. Key Responsibilities:

• Market Research & Risk Assessment: Conduct market research and analyze data to evaluate potential risks — such as cost overruns or poor ROI — associated with new campaigns, business decisions, and strategic initiatives.
• Data Sorting & Logic Mapping: Utilize SQL and Python to sort, query, and structure refined data into actionable risk and cost-forecasting matrices.
• Cost & Risk Forecasting: Develop and maintain models that forecast costing risks and other business exposures, providing actionable insights to guide decision-making.
• Reporting & Insights: Prepare clear, digestible reports and dashboards that translate complex data findings into business recommendations.
• Client Presentation & Engagement: Present dashboard insights and risk assessments directly to clients, acting as a key point of contact as you grow into the role.
• AI-Enhanced Analytics: Work with pre-integrated, AI-driven tools to speed up pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and insight generation within your analysis.
• Dashboard Architecture & Linking: Design, develop, and maintain automated risk and market analytics dashboards (Power BI / Tableau) by mapping and linking pre-processed datasets.
• Cross-Functional Strategy: Collaborate with Product, IT, and Operations to embed your insights into daily business workflows and decision-making processes.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Mentorship: Act as a subject-matter resource for junior analysts, and present dashboard insights to senior leadership and clients.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Data Science, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance (Quantitative), Banking and Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, dashboard creation, market research, or business intelligence.
• Industry Exposure: Prior experience within Fintech, Banking, Finance, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Technical Stack: Strong foundational skills in SQL and Python for data queries, sorting, and manipulation.
• BI Visualization: Proficient in Power BI, Power Query, or Tableau (specifically in establishing data relationships and data linking).
• AI Exposure: Experience or a strong interest in using AI-powered development tools (e.g., Claude AI, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT Advanced Data Analysis) to optimize code writing and dashboard structuring.
• Presentation & Communication Skills: Confident in presenting findings and insights to stakeholders, with the ability to eventually manage direct client-facing engagements.
• Mindset: A strong analytical brain focused on pattern recognition, business risk logic, and clear communication of insights.
