Senior Data Architect

One of our clients in Finland is currently hiring Data Architects at the Data Architect, Senior Data Architect, and Lead Data Architect levels. The role focuses on helping customers leverage data and AI through practical, scalable, and long-term solutions. You’ll translate business requirements into data and technical requirements and work across modern data platforms, cloud infrastructure, data architecture, data engineering, and analytics. The position involves technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Azure, AWS, and GCP, combining strategic communication with hands-on technical delivery when required, including cloud resource deployment and SQL. Key Responsibilities Translate business requirements into actionable data and technical requirements. Help businesses build and utilize data platforms that deliver measurable business value. Design, build, and operate highly available distributed systems for extracting, ingesting, and processing large datasets. Design data models, data warehouses, and high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines. Work with cloud data infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform. Contribute hands-on when needed, including deploying cloud resources and writing SQL. Evaluate and work with data lakes, data warehouses, analytics platforms, MDM, data catalogs, and data lineage tools. Apply Agile development practices, including DevOps and DataOps. Stay current with emerging data technologies through continuous learning and hackathons. Requirements Must Have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with and influence senior stakeholders. Strong ability to translate business requirements into data and technical requirements. Understanding of both the business and engineering aspects of data products. Working knowledge of Agile development, including DevOps and DataOps practices. Experience designing, building, and operating highly available distributed systems for large-scale data extraction, ingestion, and processing. Strong experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines. Professional experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP. Understanding of data lake infrastructure, data analytics tools, MDM, data catalogs, and data lineage technologies. Highly Preferred: Hands-on experience designing and building end-to-end data solutions using Snowflake and dbt and/or Databricks. Language Requirement Fluent Finnish and English are required, both written and spoken, as a significant part of the customer-facing work is conducted in Finnish. The role offers an opportunity to work closely with customers on a variety of data architecture projects while combining architecture, consulting, cloud, data engineering, and AI/data platform expertise.
