Senior Data Architect – Data Analytics

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect – Data Analytics with deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure data platform, particularly Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory (ADF). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing modern cloud data platforms, with a proven track record in data architecture, ETL/ELT, data integration, and analytics solutions. This role requires a strong technical foundation across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure data services, SQL, data lakes/lakehouses, and data warehousing. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across data architecture initiatives, work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, and help build scalable, secure, high-performance data solutions that support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Microsoft Fabric, and related Azure data services.
• Design and implement modern data lake, lakehouse, and data warehouse architectures.
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, integration, and orchestration workflows across multiple data sources.
• Develop data solutions within Microsoft Fabric, including Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and other relevant Fabric capabilities.
• Design efficient and maintainable data models, including dimensional modeling, star schemas, and analytical data structures.
• Develop complex SQL queries and optimize data processing, pipeline performance, and warehouse/lakehouse workloads.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across data pipelines, integrations, and cloud data platforms, ensuring reliability and data quality.
• Establish and apply data architecture standards, development best practices, security controls, and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

About you

• 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data architecture, or cloud data platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services.
• Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Fabric is required.
• Strong and demonstrable experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), including pipeline development, orchestration, data integration, and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT architecture, data integration, and cloud-based data engineering.
• Strong experience designing and implementing Azure data lakes, lakehouses, and data warehouses.
• Excellent SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Strong knowledge of dimensional data modeling, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience designing scalable and reliable data pipelines across multiple source systems.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data security, governance, and cloud best practices.
