Senior Data Controls Architect (SOX/ICFR)

Overview

Seeking a Data Controls Architect to bridge Data Engineering, Finance, and SOX Compliance teams. This role will focus on ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial data across data platforms, pipelines, and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Map financial data flows from source systems to reporting and the General Ledger.
• Assess data lineage, data quality, and transformation risks.
• Design and evaluate automated controls across ETL/ELT pipelines and reporting processes.
• Review application controls, interfaces, APIs, and data integrations.
• Support SOX/ICFR compliance, IPE reviews, RCM development, TOD/TOE testing, and remediation.
• Partner with Data Engineering and Finance teams to implement controls.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years in Data Engineering, Data Governance, Technology Risk, SOX, or IT Audit.
• Strong experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of SOX, ITGC, ITAC, IPE, data lineage, and automated controls.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, or similar modern data platforms preferred.
