Position: Senior Data Engineer & Analytics

Purpose of the Job:

To design, build, and optimize robust data infrastructure that supports Sri Trang Group’s AI, analytics, and digital transformation efforts. This role ensures seamless data integration from diverse sources such as Azure, AWS, SAP, MySQL Server, and machine data, enabling high-quality data availability for business insights and innovation.

This position also involves analyzing complex datasets, utilizing advanced tools like Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to extract valuable business insights. The role offers the opportunity to work with diverse datasets across manufacturing, office, and sales functions, contributing to the company’s data-driven decision-making processes and innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store data from multiple sources, including Azure, AWS, SAP, MySQL Server, and machine data.

• Data Integration: Develop and implement processes for integrating data from disparate sources, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across systems and platforms.

• Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security by implementing data quality and governance best practices. Collaborate with the Data Governance team to enforce these practices.

• Data Exploration and Analysis: Use statistical tools and techniques to explore and analyze data, identifying patterns, relationships, and trends.

• Data Visualization: Create visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable

• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that support analytics and AI initiatives.

• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of data infrastructure to ensure efficiency and scalability. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues.

• Technology Evaluation: Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and trends. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies that can improve data processes and infrastructure.

• Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the insights and findings from the data to stakeholders, which can influence policy and decision-making processes.

• Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes and systems. Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on data tools and best practices.

• Project Leadership: Lead and manage data engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.

Education

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.

Professional Experiences

• At least 3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Analyst with a proven track record of designing and managing large-scale data infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Data Analysis, and Power BI. Experience in cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS) is highly desirable.
