Job Summary

Auxo AI is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in AWS data engineering services, Python/Java programming, SQL, and big data technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics, data warehousing, and machine learning initiatives.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, secure, and cost-effective data solutions while following industry best practices in data engineering, governance, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using AWS services.
• Work extensively with AWS S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Lambda, and Amazon Redshift.
• Develop efficient data processing solutions using Python, Java, or Scala.
• Design and optimize SQL queries, data models, and data warehouse solutions.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to support diverse data requirements.
• Implement distributed data processing solutions for large-scale datasets.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to support analytics and machine learning use cases.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline failures and performance issues.
• Implement data quality checks, data governance standards, security controls, and data integrity measures.
• Optimize data storage, processing performance, and AWS infrastructure costs.
• Follow best practices for code quality, documentation, testing, and deployment.
• Stay updated with emerging data engineering technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech) or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS data engineering services.
• Strong practical experience with:
• Amazon S3
• AWS Glue
• Amazon EMR
• AWS Lambda
• Amazon Redshift
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, data warehousing, database design, and query optimization.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies and distributed data processing.
• Experience designing, building, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines.
• Knowledge of data pipeline monitoring, debugging, data quality, governance, and security best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with automated deployments and production data pipeline management.
• Exposure to cloud-based analytics and machine learning data platforms.
