Senior Data Engineer (Cloud Data Platform)

Your Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Build data models and data products using modern lakehouse architectures.
• Implement data quality checks, testing, monitoring and observability.
• Manage data incidents, SLAs/SLOs and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure data security, privacy and GDPR compliance.
• Support DataOps practices, CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
• Collaborate with data stewards and mentor junior engineers.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with strong cloud platform expertise (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in Spark/PySpark.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or BigQuery.
• Knowledge of Airflow, Azure Data Factory or dbt; Kafka is a plus.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, data quality and governance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluent English and Dutch or French.
