Job Description:

We're hiring a Senior Data Engineer to support a banking client in Charlotte, NC or NY. In this role, you'll build golden record datasets, lead data normalization efforts, and create structured corpora that support downstream data and ML initiatives, working directly with client stakeholders on data quality and standardization.

What You'll Do:

• Build and maintain golden record datasets establishing a single, authoritative, deduplicated source of truth across source systems
• Design and implement data normalization pipelines — standardizing formats, resolving inconsistencies, and enforcing schema and data quality rules
• Create structured corpora from raw/unstructured data sources for downstream use in ML model training, search, and NLP tasks
• Perform data profiling, deduplication, and entity resolution to support golden record accuracy
• Collaborate with data science/ML and compliance teams on corpus requirements and quality standards
• Document data lineage, transformation logic, and normalization rules
• Serve as a technical point of contact for client stakeholders — requirements gathering, solution walkthroughs, and troubleshooting

What You'll Need:

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering
• Experience building golden record / master data management (MDM) datasets
• Strong data normalization and ETL/ELT pipeline experience
• Experience creating or curating structured corpora for ML/NLP applications
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with MDM/data quality platforms (e.g., Informatica, Talend) or custom entity-resolution pipelines
• Strong client-facing communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in Charlotte, NC 3 days per week

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
