JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

TTG is building a Microsoft Fabric data platform to automate business reporting across two of our businesses (Talenza and Tranzformd). Currently this is manual and relies on multiple disconnected systems. The build covers two things: an automated weekly business performance report pulling data from Productive, Xemplo, BambooHR and Bullhorn (combining actuals with a week/month/quarter forecast), and a dynamic customer/GP profitability model built on Xemplo and Xero data (salary cost attribution, commission, team allocation, and financing costs per client). We need one senior offshore data engineer to own this end to end, working closely with our CFO on the business logic. Initial estimate is 90 days, but realistically may run longer — a couple of the source systems (Xemplo, Bullhorn) don't have native Fabric connectors, so integration is the main risk to timeline.

Skills We Need:

- 5+ years data engineering, with hands-on Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Factory/Dataflow Gen2, Power BI semantic models) — real build experience, not just familiarity

- Azure Synapse or ADF background acceptable if direct Fabric experience is limited, given how new the platform is

- Proven experience building custom API-based ingestion for SaaS platforms without native connectors — this is the most important thing to screen for

- Strong Power BI report/dashboard development

- Prior exposure to financial/commercial reporting data (revenue, GP, forecasting), ideally in professional services or recruitment/staffing

- Strong written and spoken English, comfortable working independently with limited real-time overlap with Sydney hours

- Senior enough to work as architect and builder in one — not a design-only role paired with a separate junior engineer

Relevant Work Experience:

 Fluency in English communication is A MUST

 Bachelor’s degree and above in Data Engineer, Data governance, Data Scientist, and other related fields

 Be open - minded, have the ability to learn fast and willing to do attitude

 Having experience in Business Intelligence is an advantage
