Senior Data Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer.

Not a maintenance role. You'd own the architecture decisions.

What you'd actually own:
→ The roadmap from current-state data lake to a lakehouse/mart platform built for BI, analytics, and AI
→ Batch + real-time pipelines (Kinesis/MSK, CDC via binlog replication, Step Functions orchestration)
→ Infra as code — Terraform, multi-env, CI/CD
→ The data foundation for LLM-based apps: structured serving, vector pipelines for retrieval, data patterns for AI agents
→ Governance — Lake Formation, IAM, Glue Catalog, lineage, in a regulated environment

What we need:
5+ years data engineering, strong Python/SQL
Real depth in AWS: S3, Iceberg, Glue, EventBridge, Athena, dbt Core/Cloud, ECS
Terraform: modules, remote state, not just "wrote some HCL once"
Comfortable using AI dev tools daily (Claude, Copilot) — that's how this team works, not a bonus skill

Nice to have: regulated-industry background (healthcare/fintech), exposure to PHI-adjacent compliance, experience building data layers for LLM apps.
Small team, high context, decisions that show up in production fast. If "own the platform" sounds better than "inherit the backlog", do apply.
