Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an international Data & Analytics team within a global technology-driven organization. You will contribute to the development of data products that support business decision-making across areas such as sales, operations, finance, customer services, and management.

In this role, you will help transform complex data from multiple sources into scalable, reliable, and actionable solutions. Working closely with product teams, business stakeholders, and fellow engineers, you will build data platforms that enable insights, recommendations, reporting, automation, and future AI-driven capabilities.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Integrate data from multiple business and operational systems.
• Build, maintain, and improve data models and data products.
• Develop reusable, secure, and high-quality code.
• Support the design of modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to data quality, governance, testing, and monitoring practices.
• Help transform business requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Support the evolution of advanced analytics, intelligent recommendations, and AI-enabled solutions.

What you need to succeed:

Must-have

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Solid Python development experience.
• Experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts.
• Experience working with large datasets and complex data environments.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including testing and code reviews.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Azure Data Platform experience.
• Databricks experience.
• Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Exposure to machine learning or AI-related initiatives.
• Experience building APIs or data services.
• Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Experience working in Agile product teams.
