Senior Data Engineer | Systematic Trading Technology

A Systematic Trading Technology team at a leading global asset manager is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their trading platform team. You'll work directly with Traders, Quants, and Business Analysts to build the data systems and pipelines that power live trading decisions.

This is a well-established, global investment firm with a mission-driven Investment Technology group with a growing team known for investing heavily in its people, continuous learning, and hands-on exposure to emerging tech (including AI-driven capabilities now being built directly into production systems).

Responsibilities:

• You'll design and build scalable, cloud-native data solutions that simplify and accelerate the trade life cycle globally
• You'll partner hands-on with the squad: building out solutions, reviewing code, designing test cases, and shaping the SDLC pipeline in an agile environment
• You'll lead adoption of AI-driven capabilities inside live production systems
• You'll work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security teams to ensure best practices are baked in from the start

Qualifications:

• 7+ years in data analytics, architecture, design, and development, with strong focus on Snowflake and ETL
• Proficient in Snowflake and MS SQL Server/Oracle( table design, normalization, views, UDFs, stored procedures)
• Experience in Python and AWS
• Strong communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bonus: BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), CRD/Portware familiarity, investment/asset management exposure (Equities, Fixed Income, Alternatives), or cloud-native architecture experience
