Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• Our data ecosystem will be migrating their products from Azure to AWS. Data Engineers needed to assist with new and current pipelines. All IT equipment are provided and it is the responsibilities of consultants to ensure the security of the organization's data and applications.

Requirements:

You’ll play an important role in:

• maintaining and optimising our enterprise data warehouse platform
• supporting the migration of data warehouse capabilities from Microsoft Azure to AWS
• building, improving, and supporting data engineering pipelines and data warehouse workloads
• monitoring platform performance and identifying opportunities for optimisation and cost efficiency
• enabling and supporting data engineers across the organisation in delivering high-quality data solutions
• applying data warehousing best practices, troubleshooting incidents, and contributing to platform reliability and continuous improvement.

To succeed in the role, you:

• have experience working with data warehousing concepts, platforms, and data modelling techniques
• have strong hands-on Python and SQL skills with DevOps and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps etc.) knowledge.
• can design, develop, and support data pipelines for large-scale data workloads using cloud-based data platforms preferably on AWS such as Glue ETL, Redshift, Databricks etc.
• understand performance optimisation, monitoring, and operational support within a data platform environment
• can collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and stakeholders across a large organisation
• have completed a degree within computer science, software engineering, data engineering, or equivalent experience.
