Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We're looking for a Cloud Senior Data Engineer to join the EY GDS Data Engineering Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop cloud data ingestion and processing pipelines
• Work with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik
• Use Python, Pyspark, Scala, JavaScript and SQL
• Apply data modelling best practices for data engineers
• Use CI/CD development with devops/Git
• Apply data architecture best practices on NoSQL databases, RDBMS, or Databricks Unity Catalog
• Solve complex technical problems with strong analytical skills
• Debug and optimize solutions in support roles
• Gather business requirements and deliver solution presentations

About you

• At least 3 years of experience in developing cloud data ingestion and processing pipelines using at least 2 of the following: Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, or Hadoop
• Hands-on experience in using any or combination of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik
• Hands-on experience in using any or combination of Python, Pyspark, Scala, JavaScript and SQL
• Familiar with data modelling best practices for data engineers
• Familiar with CI/CD development using devops/Git
• Familiar with data architecture best practices on NoSQL databases, RDBMS, or Databricks Unity Catalog
• Strong analytical skills and enjoys solving complex technical problems
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills when needed in relation to support roles
• Good communication and presentation skills in relation to gathering business requirements and solution presentations
