Senior Data Engineer (Data Mesh/Azure)

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a major Data & AI programme in the Netherlands, helping design and build scalable data products within a modern Data Mesh architecture.

You’ll work in a highly experienced engineering environment, taking ownership of data pipelines, platform development and data products across the Azure ecosystem.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and building scalable data pipelines and data products
• Working within a Data Mesh / domain-driven data architecture
• Developing solutions across the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
• Building and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Python, PySpark and SQL
• Working with Azure Data Factory, ADLS and Delta Lake
• Implementing data quality, governance and monitoring standards
• Supporting CI/CD and automated deployment of data solutions
• Working closely with Data Architects, Engineers and business stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years' experience as a Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer
• Strong commercial experience with Azure
• Hands-on Databricks, Python/PySpark and SQL experience
• Good understanding of Data Mesh principles
• Experience building production-grade data pipelines and data products
• Strong knowledge of modern data engineering best practices
• Experience working within complex enterprise environments
• Able to work independently within a remote, project-based environment
