We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Database Developer with strong expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Databricks to design, develop, optimize, and support scalable cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server and Azure SQL databases.
• Develop and optimize advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views .
• Perform query tuning, indexing, and database performance optimization .
• Work with Databricks / Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and transformations.
• Integrate Azure SQL with Databricks using Delta Lake, Spark SQL, and PySpark .
• Design and maintain relational and dimensional data models .
• Implement data warehousing patterns , including Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
• Support ETL/ELT processes and cloud-based data architectures.
• Ensure database security, integrity, reliability, and performance .
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI teams, developers, and business stakeholders .
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Database Developer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL, and T-SQL .
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark .
• Strong knowledge of PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake .
• Experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and SCD .
• Hands-on experience working in Azure cloud environments .
• Strong experience in query optimization and database performance tuning .
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
