Senior Data Engineer (Databricks) – Banking Sector

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an international consulting environment and contribute to a high-impact project within the banking sector.

The position is based in Spain and offers full remote flexibility.

In this role, you will be involved in the design and development of modern data platforms in a cloud-based ecosystem, with a strong focus on Databricks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and architectures

• Working extensively with Databricks in a cloud environment (Azure preferred)

• Supporting the migration of legacy systems to modern Lakehouse architectures

• Ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability across platforms

• Collaborating with business and technical teams to deliver data-driven solutions

• Strong experience as a Data Engineer in complex environments

• Strong experience with Databricks (mandatory)

• Solid knowledge of Python and SQL

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

• Experience building and optimizing data pipelines

• Good understanding of data architecture and data modeling

• Ability to work in international and cross-functional teams

• Fluent in English
