Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a US-based healthcare technology company and help build and evolve the data foundation that supports Finance, Clinical and Operations reporting. You'll work in a Databricks environment with a medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) that is still taking shape, plus Domo for BI and analytics, and you'll integrate data from several source systems. It's a hands-on role with real ownership: you'll lead priority pipeline work and make the analytics team's data more reliable and easier to use.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable pipelines that move data from source systems into Databricks.
• Develop curated tables and data models across the bronze, silver and gold layers for reporting and analytics.
• Improve pipeline reliability, data quality and performance through validation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Work with analysts and business stakeholders to turn reporting requirements into technical solutions.
• Deliver dependable, analytics-ready datasets for Domo and other downstream consumers.
• Document data flows, transformations and dependencies so the team can maintain and extend the platform.

Must have

• 5+ years of data engineering experience at a senior level.
• Strong SQL and Python/PySpark skills.
• Hands-on experience building production pipelines in Databricks.
• Experience integrating multiple data sources and building analytics-ready data models.
• Familiarity with lakehouse / medallion architectures and good engineering practices: testing, version control (Git) and CI/CD.
• Able to work independently, troubleshoot problems and explain things clearly to both technical and non-technical people.
• Based in LATAM, with regular overlap with US business hours.
• Advanced English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Domo or a similar BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and the data it needs upstream.
• Experience with healthcare, financial or operational reporting data.
• Experience handling sensitive data (PHI/PII, HIPAA) and setting up access controls (for example, Unity Catalog).
• Experience tuning Databricks workloads for performance and cost
