Senior Data Engineer (DFS)

TCS is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer (DFS) to support enterprise transformation, technology delivery, and operational excellence within a global financial services environment.

The Senior Data Engineer (DFS) will provide L3 production support for enterprise data platforms and critical data pipelines within Banking, Capital Markets, and Asset Management environments. The role focuses on platform stability, incident management, data quality, operational excellence, and continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for business-critical data platforms and pipelines, ensuring high availability and SLA compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents across Databricks, Airflow, Dremio, AWS, and data processing environments.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions to improve platform reliability.
• Support ETL/ELT workflows, Databricks clusters, runtime upgrades, and platform maintenance activities.
• Develop and execute Python and SQL scripts for troubleshooting, automation, and data validation.
• Implement and monitor data quality, metadata management, schema validation, and regression testing processes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Business teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead delivery governance and support activities while mentoring junior team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Production Support, or Data Platform Operations.
• Leadership and team management experience with ownership of delivery and governance.
• Strong expertise in AWS (S3, Athena, CloudWatch), Databricks, Airflow, Dremio, Python, SQL, and GitHub .
• Experience with data quality validation, data profiling, metadata management, and schema management.
• Strong knowledge of incident management, RCA, platform stability, and runtime upgrades.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Mexico City, Queretaro, Guadalajara or Monterrey.
