SENIOR DATA ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION

·      Design and develop reliable backend services, APIs, and data-intensive applications.

·      Build batch and streaming data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines.

·      Optimize SQL queries, storage models, and large-scale processing performance.

·      Implement data quality checks, deduplication, monitoring, and recovery processes.

·      Maintain robust cloud-based data services with automated testing and deployment.

·      Collaborate with platform and application engineers on data availability and reliability.

REQUIREMENTS

·      5+ years in backend software engineering, including data-heavy systems.

·      Strong Python development and experience building APIs and services.

·      Advanced SQL skills, relational database design, and query optimization.

·      Hands-on ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data processing experience.

·      Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, Git, CI/CD, testing, and production monitoring

·       Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

·      Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or similar data technologies.

·      NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and distributed systems.

·      Data lake, warehouse, or large-scale data platform experience.
