🚀 Senior Data Engineer GCP

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Bucharest, working on data platforms for a world renowned client.

📍 Bucharest | Hybrid: 1 day per week in the office

You should have:

- 5

• years of professional experience as a Data Engineer

• Strong hands on experience with Python for data processing and pipeline development

• Strong hands on experience with PySpark and distributed data processing

• Strong SQL skills and hands on experience with BigQuery or a similar cloud data warehouse

• Solid experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data modelling

• Professional experience with Google Cloud Platform , ideally including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, GCS or Pub/Sub

• Experience building scalable batch and near real time data pipelines

• Experience with CI/CD, version control and automated testing

• Experience troubleshooting and optimising data pipelines and processing performance

Nice to have

• Terraform, Ansible or Chef

• Shell scripting

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments

What you’ll do

You will design and build scalable data pipelines, develop high performance SQL and BigQuery solutions, create Python and PySpark workflows, design data models and work with GCP services to build reliable cloud native data solutions.

You will also collaborate with engineering, analytics and business teams and contribute to code reviews, testing and CI/CD practices.
