Are you a data leader who thrives on modernizing legacy enterprise systems? We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric & SAP BW with strong SAP BW expertise to drive our SAP BW modernization and migration initiatives into Microsoft Fabric .

In this role, you will lead the transition from traditional SAP BW landscapes to Fabric-native data pipelines, ensuring seamless migration, optimal performance, and precise data reconciliation.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• SAP BW Assessment & Migration: Lead landscape assessments (ADSOs, InfoCubes, DSOs, Process Chains), conduct dependency mapping, and execute strategic migration approaches (phased/parallel-run) to Microsoft Fabric.
• Fabric Engineering & Pipelines: Design, build, and optimize scalable Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, and semantic model solutions using medallion architecture.
• Data Integration: Develop ingestion pipelines for SAP BW, SAP ECC, SAP HANA, and non-SAP sources using ODP, CDS Views, and Open Hub connectors.
• Reconciliation & Validation: Lead rigorous source-to-target reconciliation, validating measures, hierarchies, and row counts across SIT, UAT, and production cutover.
• Leadership & Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, lead sprint planning, resolve technical roadblocks, and mentor junior engineers and offshore delivery teams.

🛠 Qualifications & Required Skills

• 7–10 years of experience in Data Engineering with deep exposure to both SAP BW and Microsoft Fabric.
• Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, Dataflows Gen2, Power BI).
• Strong technical stack: SQL, PySpark , and SAP extraction methods (ODP, RFC, CDS Views, Open Hub).
• Deep understanding of enterprise data warehousing, dimensional modeling, star schemas, and medallion architecture.
• Proven track record in data reconciliation, report validation, and migration cutovers.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills; Spanish language fluency is preferred.

💡 Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA , SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Relevant Microsoft Fabric or Azure technical certifications.
• Experience in consulting, managed services, or supporting global onsite/offshore delivery models.
