Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake

Context

Senior Data Engineer role focused on Snowflake environment development and architecture. The position involves leading a development team using agile methodologies, managing system resources and budget (FinOps), adopting new product features with an emphasis on AI capabilities, and overseeing all aspects of information security and regulatory compliance. The role also includes managing relationships with technology partners such as cloud management, DBA teams, and network teams.

Missions

• Lead technological development in the Snowflake environment, including solution architecture design, appropriate development methodology, and performance management.
• Manage the development team's work plan using agile development methodology.
• Responsible for efficient use of system resources and budget management (FinOps).
• Adopt new product features, focusing on AI capabilities, according to organizational needs.
• Oversee all information security and regulatory aspects, including managing permissions by role-based access control (RBAC), implementing access guidelines for PII data, and managing different working environments.
• Manage relationships with technology partners, including cloud management, DBA team, and network team.

1. 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
2. At least 3 years of significant experience with Snowflake
3. Professional knowledge of Snowflake, DBT, Python, and Kafka (mandatory)
4. Experience with Spark and Java (advantageous)
5. Ability to handle performance tuning challenges in multi-data environments
6. Experience implementing authorization mechanisms for complex business scenarios
7. Experience managing development using Agile methodology
