What You’ll Do:

  • Interpret and apply privacy laws, regulations, and contractual requirements, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other applicable data protection requirements.
  • Lead Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), identify privacy risks, and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate privacy considerations associated with new technologies, business processes, systems, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Support privacy investigations, incident response activities, and regulatory inquiries across our US and UK operations.

  • Lead cross-functional privacy initiatives by coordinating work across Legal, Information Security, IT, HR, Internal Audit, and business teams.
  • Track privacy project milestones, risks, remediation activities, and compliance measures while recommending improvements to strengthen our privacy program.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain privacy policies, standards, procedures, data inventories, and records of processing activities.
  • Create privacy reporting for leadership and global business teams to provide visibility into compliance activities, emerging risks, and remediation progress.
  • Develop and deliver privacy education and awareness materials that help employees understand their responsibilities for protecting personal and sensitive information.
  • Partner with Data Governance and Information Security teams to support data classification, retention, disposal, and appropriate handling practices.
  • Promote privacy-by-design principles and help establish data handling standards and controls as systems and business processes evolve.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Legal Studies, Data Governance, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in data privacy, compliance, information governance, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting privacy assessments and coordinating privacy compliance activities within an organization.
  • Experience interpreting and applying privacy or data protection requirements to business processes, technology, or organizational initiatives.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • An advanced degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Legal Studies, Data Governance, or a related field.
  • A CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
  • A Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) credential or comparable education in data governance and information management.
  • Experience supporting privacy programs across multiple jurisdictions, particularly US and UK operations.

Our Story:

Leprino’s history dates back to the 1950s, when Jim Leprino first started making small batches of mozzarella for local markets and eateries in the Little Italy neighborhood of Denver. We’ve grown a bit since then. Today, Leprino is the world’s largest manufacturer of mozzarella and lactose, and a leading producer of whey protein. Still owned by the Leprino family, our sights are set to be the “World’s Best Dairy Food and Ingredient Company.” From a small corner grocery store we have grown to over 5,500 employees throughout the globe. Will you join us on our journey?

Leprino uses Psychemedics for a 90-day hair follicle drug test as a pre-employment screening tool and also participates in E-Verify. Some positions at the Denver corporate office may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) based on role and location. Leprino supports a drug-free workplace and is an EEO / Affirmative Action Employer M / F / Disability / Veteran.
