Senior Data Program Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Convert roadmap items into well-defined epics for Data Science and Platform Engineering
• Draft epics independently and collaborate with technical leads for refinement
• Manage epic structure, acceptance criteria, and dependencies while delegating implementation details
• Enforce a 'Ready-to-Execute' standard through a set of clarifying questions
• Track and report on active work across various boards, identifying blocks or risks
• Resolve sequencing conflicts and identify cross-team dependencies proactively
• Oversee the Jira process and sprint cadence tailored for the Data Products & Analytics team
• Lead planning, review, and retrospective ceremonies focused on decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Agile/Scrum or PMP certification a plus
• 7+ years in program or project management within a data or software delivery context
• In-depth understanding of what makes an epic usable
• Technical skills sufficient to draft actionable epics for engineers
• Strong cross-functional collaboration capability without creating inefficiencies
• Fluency in Jira as a process designer including board structure and backlog management
• Exceptional written communication skills to produce clear, actionable artifacts
• Ability to influence quality standards without direct authority
