Senior Data Protection Analyst

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Protection Analyst to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on data protection analytics, incident detection, and security investigations across a modern cloud environment.

You will help refine policies, improve alert quality, and turn security data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.

The position requires close collaboration with technical teams and a customer-centric approach to strengthening the organization's data protection posture.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Provide insights into data loss prevention (DLP) analytics and issues
• Analyze the company's data detection and response platform to enhance incident alerts
• Refine and manage datasets and policies as customer needs evolve
• Prepare and present reports and summaries to internal teams
• Eliminate noise and false positives from analytics to improve detection accuracy
• Conduct forensic analysis on individuals or groups as requested

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data protection or related security tools, including EDR, SIEM, and SOAR
• 2+ years of experience in Insider Threat or InfoSec
• Strong knowledge of endpoint protection best practices
• Familiarity with DLP, Insider Threat, and CASB controls for sensitive data
• Proficiency in macOS, Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
• SQL skills for data analysis; ability to build dashboards and edit XML-based DLP rules
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative and customer-centric approach
