Senior Data Science Manager

About the role

Explore and create strategic solutions and actionable recommendations for the personal banking business by leveraging emerging AI technologies such as Generative & Agentic AI, Reinforcement Learning, and Machine Learning. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions, while developing and refining AI models to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and create strategic solutions and actionable recommendations for the personal banking business by leveraging emerging AI technologies (e.g. Generative & Agentic AI, Reinforcement Learning, Machine Learning)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions

• Develop and refine AI models to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements

• Identify and evaluate suitable AI vendors for specific use cases, managing escalations to ensure deliverables and timelines are met with excellence

• Stay highly sensitive to the latest AI trends

About you

• Degree or above with major in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related discipline
• 4 years' experience relating to analytics, modelling and machine learning/AI/Generative AI, at least 1 year of which at managerial level
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services or FinTech industry preferred
• Experience and knowledge in embedding techniques, RAG, promptings and LLM fine-tuning, involvement in search engine or recommendation system is a plus
• Experience in machine learning model/AI/Generative AI related risk and control governance is a plus
• Mature self-starter with strong drive, motivation, committed with good business sense and strong understanding of the personal banking market
