We build data systems that run in production for Belgian enterprises across finance, pharma, insurance, retail and energy.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist / AI Engineer to join Exsolvæ and work on projects centered on forecasting, pricing analytics and AI-driven use cases.

On this engagement, you'll help build a customer analytics platform that brings together behavioral, financial and segmentation data into one coherent view. Concretely, that spans four areas: understanding how customers behave and move across channels, assessing profitability and lifetime value, grouping customers into meaningful segments and delivering reporting that scales and updates dynamically as the business evolves.

The aim is to give the business a clearer picture of who its customers are, how they engage, and what drives their value so teams can make sharper decisions, personalize more effectively, and run smarter acquisition, retention and loyalty efforts.

Key responsibilities:

• Turn business questions into well-scoped analytical and AI problem statements

• Own the full lifecycle of AI/ML solutions, from design and validation through deployment and live operation

• Build data and ML pipelines that scale to support ongoing analytics and reporting needs

• Harden models for production: robustness, scalability, and cost control

• Partner with business and product stakeholders to make sure solutions actually get adopted and drive value

• Bring AI engineering, MLOps, governance, security and compliance practices into everyday work

• Help grow the team's reusable tooling, best practices and overall AI maturity

• At least 3 years in an AI/ML, data science or machine learning role, having taken systems from prototype through to live production

• Comfortable working hands-on across Azure, Databricks and PySpark

• Familiar with the operational side of AI: deploying, monitoring, and orchestrating models once they're live, not just building them

• Used to enterprise settings, and knows how to navigate the stakeholder layers and processes that come with them

• A sharp analytical thinker who's just as comfortable explaining trade-offs to engineers as to non-technical business leads

• Self-starter energy: able to run with ambiguous problems in a fast-moving environment without much hand-holding

• A background in customer analytics or behavioral segmentation is a nice-to-have, not a requirement

• Fluent in English, plus working proficiency in French or Dutch

• Open to a hybrid working model with regular on-site presence around Brussels
