Senior Data Scientist, Applied ML

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Scientist Applied ML to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $154,000 – $200,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and deploy models for cybersecurity applications
• Build preprocessing and feature engineering pipelines for models
• Monitor model performance and establish feedback loops for improvement
• Prototype new modeling approaches and productionize existing prototypes
• Collaborate with software and data engineers in cloud-native environments
• Work closely with product managers to define success criteria and MVPs
• Document model designs and communicate outcomes to stakeholders

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in production model building and ownership of the data lifecycle
• Strong background in applied math and machine learning techniques
• Experience utilizing NLP for classification, tagging, or entity extraction
• Proficiency in Python and major ML libraries like PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Experience with data/feature pipelines using tools like Airflow or Spark
• Familiarity with model monitoring tools in a production environment
• Experience deploying models in cloud or containerized setups
