Senior Data Warehouse Modeler

We are seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Modeler to design, develop, and optimize warehouse models that support strategic and operational decision-making. This role will be responsible for analyzing warehouse operations, creating simulation and optimization models, evaluating future-state scenarios, and providing data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency, capacity utilization, productivity, and service levels across distribution and fulfillment networks.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities, supply chain expertise, and advanced modeling skills to support warehouse transformation initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain warehouse simulation models for distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and logistics operations.
• Analyze current warehouse processes, material flows, labor utilization, storage strategies, and throughput performance.
• Design future-state warehouse operating models to support business growth and operational excellence.
• Conduct network, capacity, labor, and storage optimization studies.
• Evaluate alternative warehouse layouts, automation solutions, and technology investments through scenario modeling.
• Develop forecasts and volume projections to support strategic planning initiatives.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to gather requirements and validate assumptions.
• Perform sensitivity analyses and identify operational bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Utilize data analytics and visualization tools to communicate modeling results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support warehouse design projects including slotting, inventory positioning, picking strategies, and resource planning.
• Establish modeling standards, methodologies, and documentation processes.
• Mentor junior analysts and modelers while promoting best practices in warehouse simulation and optimization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Logistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse modeling, logistics engineering, supply chain analytics, or distribution center design.
• Proven experience with warehouse simulation and optimization tools.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, fulfillment processes, and distribution networks.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with large datasets and translating complex analyses into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools. Good SQL is a must.
