I'm supporting a leading global quantitative trading firm who are looking for an experienced Databricks Champion to join on a long-term contract.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role, working on complex, low-latency data platforms within a fast-paced trading environment.

Key requirements:

• Recognised Databricks Champion
• Advanced Apache Spark optimisation and Spark SQL
• Production Spark Structured Streaming experience
• Deep Databricks expertise (Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, Workflows)
• Strong Python / PySpark engineering
• Terraform and Databricks Asset Bundles
• Previous experience within financial markets, ideally quantitative trading, hedge funds or market making
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex technical challenges

📍 London – 4 days onsite per week

📄 Long-term contract | Inside IR35

💰 Very competitive day rate, flexible depending on experience

This isn't a traditional architecture role. You need to be comfortable writing production code, optimising Spark workloads and driving technical decisions.
