Job Title: Senior Datacom DBA Consultant

Role Overview:

Delivery Centric is seeking an experienced Datacom DBA Consultant to provide specialist database administration support within a complex IBM mainframe environment.

This hands-on role focuses on maintaining and supporting Datacom databases across development and testing environments, ensuring database reliability, performance, and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Datacom databases.
• Build, configure, refresh, and restore database environments.
• Support development and testing teams with database-related activities.
• Diagnose and resolve database and performance issues.
• Perform installation, upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery activities.
• Monitor and tune database performance.
• Support migration, testing, and implementation preparation activities.
• Maintain documentation and operational procedures.
• Provide technical support and knowledge sharing within the team.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on Datacom DBA experience.
• Strong experience with database administration, maintenance, tuning, backup, and recovery.
• Expertise in troubleshooting complex database and performance issues.
• Experience supporting application development and testing environments.
• Experience working in IBM Mainframe environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in banking, insurance, or regulated industries.
• Experience supporting migration or modernization programs.
• Knowledge of data migration, transformation, and reconciliation activities.
• Familiarity with mainframe scheduling and performance monitoring tools.
