Senior Deep Learning Compiler Engineer - XLA

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Deep Learning Compiler Engineer - XLA to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Telecommunications & Hardware environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $152,000 – $287,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop compiler optimization algorithms for deep learning workloads
• Optimize inference and training performance for JAX and OpenXLA on the company GPUs
• Craft and implement optimization techniques for deep learning network graphs
• Design novel graph partitioning and tensor sharding techniques for distributed training and inference
• Perform performance tuning and analysis of deep learning applications
• Generate code for the company GPU backends using MLIR, LLVM, and OpenAI
• Collaborate with GPU hardware engineers to design AI compiler software features

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of relevant work or research experience in performance analysis and compiler optimizations
• Ability to work independently, define project goals and scope, and lead development efforts
• Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills, including debugging and performance analysis
• Strong foundation in CPU, GPU architecture, high-performance hardware accelerators, and distributed programming
