  • Manage engineering change and configuration-control activities
  • Establish and maintain controlled design baselines
  • Lead or support Maintenance Task Analysis programs

What's in it for you?

  • Multiple opportunities across critical Defence maritime programs
  • Senior engineering leadership and delegated-authority responsibilities
  • Exposure to capability acquisition, transition and sustainment
  • Opportunities based in Cairns or Brisbane
  • Some remote flexibility may be considered for suitable transition specialists
  • Package of up to $180,000 available for applicable opportunities

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in engineering or a related discipline
  • Senior engineering-management experience within Defence or another highly regulated environment
  • Strong engineering governance and technical-assurance capability
  • Experience managing technical risk, certification and acceptance
  • Knowledge of Defence capability acquisition and sustainment
  • Experience developing and reviewing engineering and project artefacts
  • Strong configuration-management and change-control experience
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to operate autonomously as a trusted engineering adviser
  • Australian citizenship and ability to meet Defence security requirements

Highly regarded experience

Candidates being considered for the Evolved Cape Class Patrol Boat workstream must have:

  • Current NV1 clearance
  • Defence maritime sustainment experience
  • Engineering Authority, configuration-management and technical-assurance experience

Candidates without ECCPB experience may still be considered for the broader capability transition and Introduction Into Service workstream.
